Dr. Kronabel was the first member of the HI team in 1997. He
is seen as the partner who "keeps the HI clock ticking", taking
care of corporate culture and organisational growth. Dr. Kronabel
is responsible for transition management within the portfolio
and the monitoring of smaller-stake investments.
Dr. Kronabel's academic background is in mathematics, theology
and philosophy. He acted as key federal advisor on the restructuring
of the medical faculties in Eastern Germany during reunification.
Later, Dr. Kronabel built and led the Department for Research,
Research Funding and Technology Transfer at the University
of Heidelberg.
Dr. Kronabel is currently member of the Investment Committee of
EMBL Technology Fund.
